Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation

At New Forest Health & Rehabilitation, we understand the passion you have for your sport and training—and the frustration that injuries can bring. Our mission is to support you every step of the way, from assessment and treatment to guided rehabilitation, with the care and expertise needed to help you get back to doing what you love.
Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation is more than just traditional bodywork—it’s a dynamic, supportive journey. We celebrate your progress, cheer you on when motivation dips, and offer the encouragement you need—whether that’s a high-five or a heartfelt hug.

We work with individuals across all levels of fitness and athleticism. Whether you’re a weekend warrior tackling Tough Mudders, triathlons, Hyrox, Crossfit or sportives, just starting your fitness journey, or a semi-professional cyclist, dancer, or fighter, we’re here to help.
But Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation isn’t just for athletes. We also treat non-sport-related injuries like back pain and joint issues, offering a hands-on approach that many patients find highly effective. Our comprehensive musculoskeletal assessments and tailored treatments are designed for everyone, no matter your activity level.
So whether you see yourself as ‘sporty’ or not, rest assured—you’re in good hands with us. We’re here to help you feel and move better, no matter your goals.
Pain & Injury sessions

At New Forest Rehabilitation, our Clinical Exercise Scientist, Gill, specialise in treating both sports and non-sports individuals. Similar to physiotherapists, she has in-depth expertise in understanding the mechanisms behind injuries—whether these occur during sports or as part of everyday life. With extensive knowledge of musculoskeletal dysfunction and pathologies, we delivers a hands-on treatment approach. This includes a range of physical interventions, tailored home exercise prescriptions, and comprehensive patient education and support to ensure optimal recovery and long-term well-being

Sports Massage - For EVERYONE

If you’re training for a race, recovering from a competition, or just starting your fitness journey, Clinical Sports Massage can be a game-changer for you. Even if you’re not ‘sporty,’ the stresses and repetitive patterns of daily life can affect the health of your muscles, joints, and connective tissues. Over time, this can lead to postural adaptations that cause discomfort and limit mobility.
Everyone can benefit from Sports Massage! Even if you’re not regularly exercising but feel it might help you, chances are it will.
Muscle injuries are now more common than 50 years ago—not because we’re more active, but because we’re more sedentary. As we age, our joints stiffen, further reducing range of motion and flexibility. Sports Massage works to maintain and improve these essential functions, keeping your joints fluid, reducing the risk of injury, and improving overall quality of movement.
By targeting muscles, connective tissues, tendons, ligaments, and joints, regular massage therapy can:
-
Improve overall soft tissue and joint health
-
Enhance athletic performance
-
Accelerate post-exercise recovery
-
Boost conditioning
-
Maintain peak performance and potentially prevent injuries
Whether you're managing exercise-induced discomfort or struggling with desk-related neck pain, Sports Massage offers tailored treatments to address your specific needs. Gill is the experts at identifying the exact approach to help you feel and move your best.
You’re in safe hands with us at New Forest Health and Rehabilitation!
Running Analysis

Balanced biomechanics, form, and technique are key factors to running faster and more efficiently with less risk of injury. Correct running form ensures that we create and maintain linear momentum, reduce joint impact, minimize energy loss and maximize efficiency and economy.
We commonly see people who either want to be more efficient in their running, or who are plagued by an injury that’s making what should be enjoyable an absolute nightmare.
It’s also really good planning to get your biomechanics and technique checked by an expert ahead of any training plan to ward off any impending issue, and to inform a running prehabilitation prescription.
